A family history

The involvement of the Testa family with Cascina Grampa starts from the nostalgia that Mario, chemist from Torino, always felt for the country life of his childhood.

In 1997 Mario resumes the reins of the farmstead and decides to cultivate the land by his own.

In this way he enters the rice world, he gets fond of it and slowly he involves also his son Giovanni who is totally fascinated by the heritage of traditions, knowledge and techniques connected to rice growing..

Therefore, from young civil engineer Giovanni gradually becomes a skilled farmer, and today he is the leader of the Riso Testa company, helped in the job by his beautiful and great family.

They work all together to renew every year the joy of producing something good and precious : the rice of Cascina Grampa.
